ABOUT
Lichfields Cottage is a peaceful country retreat located in Waimauku, a 40-minute drive from central Auckland. We are in the heart of wine country, surrounded by local vineyards and close to local wedding venues including The Hunting Lodge, Kumeu Valley Estate, Settlers and Markovina.
A simple complimentary breakfast is provided for you to help yourselves with a selection of cereals, bread, local free range eggs from our chickens (when they’re laying), milk, butter and jam. Tea and coffee are provided.
The pool is warm late November to early April and is located behind the main house. Access to the pool is all yours for the duration of your stay, pool towels are provided. Tennis racquets are balls are provided if you wish to have a game of tennis.
Our Cottage surrounds have been featured in several tv shows as a filming location including Married at First Sight and Cooks on Fire. Please contact us if you wish to film on site as there is a minimum charge of $1,250 per day (8 hours).
Our check in time is 2:30pm, check out at 10am. If you are requiring a slightly earlier check-in or later checkout - we are more than happy to try to accommodate this if we are able, however, please enquire as it depends if we have bookings on either side of your stay.
Our family home is next door to the Cottage and we love our animals! We have two friendly dogs Clover and Crackle, our cat Maximus and 11 chickens. If you are not a dog person please do let us know and we will keep them around the back during your stay.
Our family home is next door to the Cottage; however the cottage is very peaceful and private with just the horses next door for company and the sound of birdsong.
Please note that we do not allow events on site.

Garden
Lichfields is set on over 6 acres with
a pond, fruit trees, native trees and bush with a private courtyard behind the cottage overlooking the horse paddocks next door.
Pool
The pool is located to the rear of the main house and is warm from late November to early April. Pool towels are provided as part of your stay.
Babysitting Available
We can provide babysitting on weekends to look after your children at the cottage. Please e-mail us at bookings@lichfields.co.nz
We specialise in wedding accommodation and have lots of room for parking for your make up artist, photographer, florist, etc and have many beautiful locations for your wedding photos.
Tennis Court
We provide tennis racquets and balls as part of your stay.
Our dog Crackle loves to
play 'fetch' with the ball!

Muriwai Beach is known for the gannet colony and is well worth a visit.

Surf lessons are available at Muriwai Beach surf school which is just 12 minutes drive from Lichfields
